Thats about the prettiest blackbird I've ever seen. Never seen one of them in the real before. Great shot

NHL, our yellow headed BB's look different than that here in Minnesota! If I may ask what ISO you are shooting? It seems like the first one is a bit "noisy" as the specs in the tail kinda grabbed at my eyes. I'm guessing low light had you shooting at ISO 800??? I hope it's okay to post CC. :-)

BG is blown, but for a shot taken at ISO 800, with a 600mm lens, that's wonderfully clear. i've only seen one of those birds up here, and he hid in the branches and wouldn't give me a shot... :sad: nice capture!

You are all correct, theses shots were taken during early sunrise (you can still see the dew on the grass blades), and the sun is still low on the horizon (shadow from the birds) which didn't help lighting at all + theses guys are not cooperative at all!!!

I also got this guy but I can't ID it yet:
