2. If I'm not mistaken this is a Little Blue Heron juvenile that hasn't turned blue yet. I say this because his feet are yellow and the Egrets are black in the first photo.

First thing that caught my eye is the fact that your EV (exposure compenation) was set perfect on the white birds and thats keeping your whites from being "blown"... and there are alot of white shots I see being blown. Good job!

The DOF on the flying egret still impresses me, Houston. To get BOTH wings in focus, as well as the head, it makes the shot just perfect. I se your shutter speed was 3200, quite a feat, and to top it all, the exposures, as mentioned above, are spot on. Well done - - I also enjoy the bluebird shot !!
