I wasn't going to post these as they are notvery good. Other than the redtail in flight the others were taken at a measured 250 yds. I watched more than shot this Cooper's hawk (I think) terrorize a redtailed hawk. They were moving so fast and changing direction so much that I couldn't keep up with them. After this, the Cooper's began to torment the redtail in the third pic that just sat and watched the aerial battle. After the 2nd hawk left a few crows decided to get involved and the Cooper's almost took them all out. The crows made a swift retreat. Then the sky was empty.

3. This redtail watched the fun from a tall tree until the Cooper's chased it from tree to tree til the redtail high tailed it. Here it's taking off.

4. The last one. This is one of 3 or 4 redtails that buzzed the area. I could only get it flying away. This is a mature hawk as the other redtails here are juveniles.

Interesting series Dennis.Scenes that don't pop up very often. I do know what you mean about taking some of those long distance shots.......and wishing it was all closer.:-)
