Couldn't get all the tail in on this Scissor-tailed Flycatcher.....a minor drawback at times on non-zoom lens.

Great shot VP! Love the colouring of this bird...too bad you were too close. That's unusual for shooting birds, isn't it?.......cheers......Don

Being a bird enthusiest I like this shot so that I can see all of the detail. It reminds us that getting in too tight can detract from the photo but I like a good portrait.

Thanks Don and Mountain Hawk......... yep, seems like either too close or too far:-)

Need some distance with these birds.....with that long tail.

Yes, it seems that way quite often, doesn't it? I'm too close when they fly and land right in front of me, or most frequently, too far. It can be frustrating, but when you finally nail one correctly, it's worth it...cheers......Don
