I just got the message. You have one back at you!

Those are very good pictures. Something about the second one I like better, but I'm going to have to study it to figure out what. That is all part of learing....

The contrast or sharpness... or brightness... they look a little... stark? Sharp? I don't know the right word. Amost like there is just a little bit too much light. Maybe it's just me, the head on the second one seems to stand out a lot... in a way which looks odd. Maybe it was a flash?

Either way, I'd be very happy if I took them. I love all the long legged waders!

I can wait until the huge numbers of GBH move though around Boston. You can find 20-30 of them at this one NWR that I go to (Great Meadows in Concord.) They can be a little far away, but with them and the egrets there is always something to see, if not photograph.

Hmmm... I didn' use flash on these, they were taken on one of the MANY, MANY cloudy days we had this past winter!! The light was very flat and uninteresting. Perhaps a WB adjustment or adding a bit of red and yellow in PS or NC would warm them up. Still no dice on the email

It could be PS editing. That is something I'm really bad at, so I haven't learned what the signs are of good vs. bad editing. (I just tried using levels, after hearing many people rave about it. Wow! I know people have said that shadows can be saved but hilights are gone forever.... I pulled an eye out of a shadow on a kinglet which I didn't even know was there!)

At the top of any stevesforums page, there is a navigation bar which reads:
FAQ Search Memberlist Usergroups
Profile You have no new messages Logout [ eric s ]

that middle one (You have no new messages) should actually read something like "you have 1 new message" if you got my messge. If not, you can send email to:

[email protected]

No, I don't know why yahoo pushed me over to the UK. It certainly didn't tell me when I signed up! I only check it every day or two, but I do check it.
