Flying away...towards the sun of course. I didn't really like the b/g to the right but left it in this one.

I would love to know all about these shots - where were you - how long did you sit there before these opportunities came along - tell me again the camera you use.

Thanks all, for looking. I appreciate the comments.

MsPuck...... living in a rural area, I know of areas these hawks frequent that allows me room to manuever aroundandoften the best time to see them.Often these are taken while traveling to and from work. Naturally, I do my best not to become a traffic hazard andonly shoot where there is room to park.

Also, I have access to severallarge tracts of property that I intend to be taking advantage of more often. I can sit for hours without being disturbed but try to be in position during the mostactive times for most wildlife.Some of these hawks, like the Red-tailed,spend a good bit of time perched while watching and listening for their prey. I can see more of them while driving than sitting.
