But my big cat, Oberon, died last night. His Mom was feral, so he qualifies as partial wildlife. I love him and miss him and hope you will excuse my posting two pix here.

Thanks.

What great looking cat. Sorry he's gone. I love my animals too. No appology needed for my part.
Best wishes,
Steve

Sorry for your loss MsPuck. It does hurt when the long time companions leave us.

My condolences - my family and I are pet lovers, too.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It's hard to believe how much it hurts - I feel foolish when there is so much pain and sadness in this world getting so emotional over a cat - but I can't help it.

I still have 4 more with me, three of them are Obie's siblings, and one 18 yr-old beauty who is tiny but rules the roost. They are mourning with me, and in a day or two we'll all be fine.

Thanks again for understanding.

Those eyes! He looks like a sweetie. I know you'll miss him. When a loved one has been part of your daily life every single day, of course we miss them for a long time. Pet owners understand. Thanks for sharing your nice photos of him.

Thank you all, again, for your replies. I am amazed (guess I shouldn't be) at the "kindness of strangers" and how much your words are helping me.

I've hadmoments when I stand in my room and despair that it will ever look like a real bedroom, without cat hair, cat food, cat whiskers and abandoned claws all over the place, and think about how I'll fix it up when "they are gone". Well, I'll take the mess, clutter, tripping over water bowls and food bowls on my way to the bathroom at night ifmy remaining four cat companionswill honor me with their presence for a long, long time to come.

Thanks again so much.

It's never easy to loose a friend. Maybe this will help:
