I like #1 Mike. Looks like his nictitating membrane is closed or a blind eye. What's going on with the other eye.I like the position in the frame.

Hey Mike, this is about the sharpest pic of a JBE I've have ever seen. It is tack sharp from one wing tip to the other. But I can't figure out what is wrong with his face and eye. Great job on this one.

I think I got him during a blink or something??? It is the same photo twice, I just cropped the second one for a closer look. I was pretty happy I as I was hand holding with my 80-400mm Nikkor lens and even though it has VR, it's not always this sharp.... maybe I hadn't had any coffee yet. :-)

Man, these are nice Mike. It almost looks like it might have an eye injury? Maybe it's just molting feathers it's losing....cheers......Don
