Excellent shots. I can almost see the beads of water rolling off the feathers in the top shot. I really like it.

Great close ups! The water beads and feather detail are verydefined.That 8--400mm VR sure looks good when you can fill the frame. How did you get so close to this duck. I'm assuming its wild?

First off, thanks guys! I delete alot of pics and cherry pick what I think are the good one. To answer your question, it is definitely wild... I won't take any captive or zoo shots.... ummmmm ever. :G I have a litle popup camo tent that I sit in near a waterway that ducks frequent... this duck was absolutely huge. I have some hybrid shots I'll start a new thread on later.
