I was lucky this guy flew right over my head and onto a perch when I was out taking pics of other critters. Then the sun came out finally for about five minutes and I got quite a few of this guy... the timing of it all was perfect. :-)

I was shooting this drake Mallard doing his mating ritual... kinda liked his reflection.

Then I photographed the trees that had been covered in ice from our rainstorm a day earlier. Not really wildlife, but who cares right.

and then a frozen pine....

Merry Christmas Gang!

Very nice ones Mike. I really like the way composed the shots of the Hawk. Not too tight and showing a little more of the surroundings. And as Ron said, sure looks cold up there. It was at least 80 deg today here in Orlando Fl where I'm vacationing with my daughter.

Happy holidays to you and yours

Good series Mike. One of the things I like about the Cooper Hawks.....when you get a chance at them, they are usually not so skittish.

I love the berries in ice, Mike, a real "Christmassy" shot, and the thing about it not being wildlife, well it is in a way, cause it's the environment that wildlife lives in:lol:
