got a sunny day yesterday, first really nice day in over a month, so i headed for the park to try out the 1.4x teleconverter i found under the tree. mixed results with the TC, but i did catch some fairly acceptable shots of a hooded merganser...

and a somewhat grumpy great blue heron, who seemed not to want to be disturbed...

it's gonna take some practice to make good use of the converter, but i do like the added reach it offers....

When I saw your name on the post I said gooood some nice photo to see. I was not disapointed.

Well that's the kind of shots I want to take...let's see, I will need more experience, some natural talent, a longer , faster lens and maybe an add on, a good camera (I have that) and some luck...might be easier to buy one from you! donna
