Nice photo well done. My guess and its only a guess is Raven.

I think raven because of the bigger forehead, rather than a flatter forehead as in a crow.

Hey Don, can you give us an estimation of size. Ravens are about twice the size of crows. Relitively speaking they're huge. Nice shot. My guess is Raven too. The shaggy look to the feathers is my clue. But, it's hard to tell. :-?

Hi Steve. It was quite large, over 12 inches in length, which makes me think it's a Raven. I thought that too because of the ruffled feathers. But some of the crows out here get pretty big too. I'm sticking with Raven..more mysterious....Don.

I would go with crow because the raven's beak is almost as thick as his head but at any rate go job getting detail in the strong lit BG.
