Very unusual snowstorm Wildlife photo

1. During the 2nd day of a 3 day snow storm I found this unusual combination. Deer and elk together. In my 64 plus years is something I have never seen.
2. I don't imagine there are a lot of folks that as soon as it starts snowing hurry out to the woods to try and find animals to take pictures of.

This snowstorm was good for finding wildlife. I found a hawk, mule deer, elk & bald eagles.

Cool photo Roger. From my past experience,Elk and Mule Deer"usually" seem to prefer different elevations. I suppose though if snow gets deep enough they will both be found down in the Alfalfa fields.....to the farmers delight:-)

Thanks for the kind words VP. We are suppose to get about a foot of new snow with this storm so maybe I will get lucky and find some of them together again.

A foot of new snow? It sounds better than the ice storm we are about to have. We are more prone to have ice than snow.

Have you ben using a tripod with the Bigma?

Shama on me I own a tripod and a monopod and I haven't tried them out yet. I am still trying to get the feel of this new set up.

Hi smac thanks for the nice comment. Today was a good day for finding wildlife in a snow storm. I found Elk, mule deer, hawk & bald eagles. It is still snowing here so I more than likely will head out again a little before daylight.
