Default Porpoises Frolic in the Wild

Sometimes you get lucky. I had seen these porpoises about 200 yards ahead of our boat and had my camera set on full telephoto, burst mode. All of a sudden three of them came out of the water and put on a show for us. The quality is not great bit I do consider it a lucky sequence.
For those of you familiar with Springer, the Killer Whale, who has just been transferred back to her pod from the Seattle area, these propoises are in the same area that she was relocated to.

What fun it would be to have seen this. You're so lucky that you had your camera ready for such a thrilling scene.

Very nice sequence! If you have Photoshop or an equivalent editor, you might try adjusting Curves, or use levels to reset the black point, to bring up the contrast without blowing the highlights. It would do wonders for your pix.

For a minute I thought you stopped off at Sea World, great sequence of shots Bill. Years ago on a sail down the Virginia cost on a friends boat I saw a few swimming in front of the bow, it was amazing to watch them.

Thanks, B.J., Walter, Christie and Tom
Yes, I was very pleased to have captured this sequence. We saw some other porpoises a couple of weeks later in the Straits of Juan de Fuca but they were just finning.
Thanks for retuning the photo Walter. that made quite a difference. I'll have to try to adjust levels and see what effect it has.
