Isaw a shadow pass over while watching a squirrelnosing around. The squirrel headed for cover and I started looking for the source of the shadow. This guy landed a short distance out.

Yep, these Coopers are a different breed altogether. They do seem a little aloof....or at least more tolerant of human presence. A little later in the afternoon this hawk camewinging through the trees with loud screams and landed close by again. Naturally, all the little birds disappeared.
