Though a construction site is not all that wild. I was abel to get these two shots.
My wife and I and our JRT Bandit walked right up on this little Burrowing Owl just standing on a sidewalk gutter drain cover. I didn't have my camera with me then. I decided to go back about 2 hrs later and see if it was still there. To my surprise it was. I could only get two shots from quite a distance. I only had my 17-200mm VR with me. This was the clearest shot. The other flight shot was a lucky capture. After chasing it around for about 20min those shots were all I could get. I think it went back to the drain and ducked inside. I believe it was using it for a burrow. I did go back later that afternoon but had no luck finding the owl. There were four teenage boys with airsoft rifles and pistols lurking around the equipment. I only hope the owl stayed out of their sites. I went back this morning but, still couldn't find the owl. I will keep an eye out over the next few days.

Not the best shot, but it's all I could manage.
