This is for you guys who also have trouble getting detail from the Green Teal. I've taken hundred's of shots of these - usually with bad results. Must be you have to get the light just right for their head...cheers......Don

Beautiful Don,
How close were you? Excellent detail. Those Green wing teal are so shy I can't get within 50 yards of them.

Thanks. Sorry to rub it in Kent. I was real close - sitting on a ramp right beside it. The birds are pretty used to people at this location, and are quite often fed by visitors - not me I should add. Not my usual haunt, where they take off if you get within 2 miles of them. It'll probably take another 2 years to get a decent shot of one.....Don.

Wow!! great shot!! where I am green teals are very shy or timid. Even at 50 or so yards away they still swim further or hide in the weeds.
