where do you find all the birds? do you have such rich wildlife where you live, or do you have a zoo?
Many of the shots are right from my backyard. There are upwards of 20 feeders outside along with a birdbath with dripper and recirc. pump and a fairly good sized inground pond that also has a driper and a recirc. pump. When walking in the woods I always keep an eye out for downed branches that will make good perches. My neighbor partially heats his home with wood so I've got a ready supply of small logs to work with as well.

Eric, howdy!!, I do make use of the rare bird alert and am fortunate to live very close to the Audubon Coastal Center which is a huge mixed habitat. Another great resource has been my local Wild Bird Center store (no plug intended)!! Talking to other birders and the owners usually leads me to some good spots.

Gasp! It took my breath away. I used to be fortunate enough to have a flock of Cedar Waxwings dine on my Winter King Hawthorn berries during migration. They've not been back for years.

Fantastic shot, Kevin.
