I decided to set up shop in my backyard this weekend as a Blizzard hit Minnesota. here is what my blind and part of my yard looks like and some of the pics I took will follow.

No rotation on this pic, he was standing sideways.

The cardinal that Bobs hawk didn't eat.

Thats all for now. :-)

Excellent shots. The blind really does work to get you physically closer to your subjects! I have a feeder in front of a bay window, but shooting through window glass does hamper sharpness. You're obviously serious about your nature photography.

I like them all but that last shot is killer! Mind sharing your settings?

Those are beautiful--each one a classic. If you are shooting from that blind you probably don't need a zillion mm telephoto lens, either. Nicely done!

Super shots Mike. Say, that blind doesn't look like it has much insulation How bundled up were you? Maybe you had a Coleman heater in there with you? At any rate those are some really fine pictures.
Nice job.

Steve, it has no insulation whatsoever, the biggest thing is that it cuts out all of the wind and it's dark in color so any sun really heats it up. I usually don't even have a hat on unless it's below zero (0) outside. Thanks for looking guys and gals and thanks for the fine feedback. :-)
