American Kestrel (Hawk)

First one of these I have seen. About 6 to 8 inches tall.

Great shot. Seems as if the bird is posing for you. Good exposure considering what seems to be a bright environment.

Great shots Roger. We have those little guys all over out here but they rarely sit still for a photo. You had a nice opportunity and took great advantage. I'm a tad jealous.

Was this with the Sigma 50-500? What was your distance from the subjuect?
