WILD HORSES - New Mexico

Pentax K10D with my Bigma

Jicarilla Wild Horse Territory

I originally found them with my binoculars and had to get a little closer to them than I wanted for my background photo. They were down by a creek and I had to get on a ridge to see any part of them.

A close up with the background photo. I was able to stalk closer to the next ridge for the close up shots.

A better look at the close up photo.

Getting ready to cross the creek.

Not to worry MOM I can make it.

Hi Roger, I used to ride quite a bit when I was younger, so I appreciate you fine shots! Donna

Hi to YA!!! bmullen. Thank you for such a nice comment and for looking. I was pretty lucky on my trip to Reno. I found these on my way to Reno only about 40 miles from my place. I found more in two different places in Nevada probably 100 miles apart.

All wonderful shots, Roger. Thanks so much for thinking of me. Always like your wildlife photos. I have heard of the Jicarilla Wild Horse before, but never such close ups. Thanks again.

Thank you Jerry for such a nice comment about my photos. I know you like horses so I figured you would enjoy seeing some wild ones. The are NOT people friendly at all.
