this finch was from the group with a bit of noise. I tried to make a selection and apply adobe noise reduction...how did I do? donna

They look good to me.

You may want to experiment with reducing susurration a little. Some of your past photos appear to be a little over saturated. #2 looks spot on.

CONGRATS Donna!!! Picture taking is important, but nowadays post processing is every bit as important. You have made a nice step forward.... next task... look into learning layers in photoshop, Scott Kelby has some great books out there. :-)

Hi Donna -

It's a little early in the morning for me....when I first opened this post, I thought,"gee, this finch appears to have a pretty normal beak....what's she talking about?

Then re-reading the heading, I see it says "noise":lol::roll:

I think both pictures are really nice. The darkness at the top of #2 doesn't bother me. As for the saturation, your posts have looked fine on my monitor. Having said that it's tough to judge perfect color unless you've calibrated your monitor and know for sure what's it's putting out. But, for my part, they look terrific.

Thanks, I am using a laptop and sometimes I am not sure how the shot really looks, I have tried calibrating my monitor, but probably need to buy "spyder" or a similar program. 'course now I want an Mac/iMac, if I would just stop buying equipment...donna
