The Ferruginous Hawk is the largest hawk in North America, they have long, broad wings and thick bodies and are very adept at soaring. While soaring, their wings are held in a dihedral, which means their wings are held upward above their body at an angle.

I was invited to go take some photos of 12 ...2 week old Germand short haired puppies and their mom.

The family also has a blue healer that never stopped moving..an very old cat with the most fasinating dark blue eyes and 2 birds of prey.

Anyway. here is the shot that grabbed me. I can't fathom why I was distracted.

Silly family... have invited me back for more puppy photos later on.
