Kent, my neighbor has a salmon colored stucco home and I placed the perch with the house in the background... the white at the base is the top of my shed that was covered in snow. I did some adjusting to the perch from my shooting angle to get that look. I'm always moving stuff around to get different background looks, messy backgrounds are just that.... messy.

Very nice exposures Mike, I really like that las shot. Good job working with the bg's you have to deal with. If you will allow me one small nitpick, i think I would clone out the 2 white streaks in the woodpecker shot. It's just enough distracting and not adding anything that I think it would be better without them. Nice Work once again, how big is the picture backlog? Are we going to be cooling off with snowy MN shots in July?
