Default Barred Owl

Here's a link to a couple of shots taken in my back yard of a Barred Owl taken with my Canon Pro90 using my 420EX flash. No manipulation of the file. I was able to approach within about 15 ft of the bird. Suspect he's recently fledged... displayed no fear.

The first one is realy nice, with lovely feather texture. I find the second a little too bright, I think some of the detail there may be burnt out.

I've only been able to see one of these in the wild. Wonderful birds. I'm a big fan of owls.

I agree with checklg on the exposure thing....
