Osprey Fans - Mark Your Calendar

I just finished putting up all the information for the July 13-15 2007 Osprey Fest for the New Mexico State Parks. It will be at Heron Lake here in the Chama, New Mexico Valley. If any of you are going to be in the area and like to photograph Osprey you don't want to miss this opportunity.

Osprey Fest Information: http://www.friendsofheronandelvadolakes.com/

Last years Osprey Photos: http://www.friendsofheronandelvadola...ey/osprey.html

Here is a link so you can see what kind of photo opportunities the Osprey MAY give you. When you see the photos you need to know that I took them with:

1. Panasonic FZ30

2. Less than 1 year of owning a camera

3. About 6 months experience trying to take wildlife photos

Enjoy and if you are able to get out here for the Osprey Fest PLEASE stop in my place and I will buy the coffee

Hi Roger,

I checked out the Osprey photos on the link and they are impressive. You're fortunate to be in the right place :-).

We have Ospreys on our lake, but I won't be able to see them until "ice out", later in April (I'm rom Canada).

Cheers, Dan

Oh that reminds me, up the road where I live alot of Osprey come to nest on the old pilings along a river back near Pitt Lake (the largest fresh water tidal lake supposidly in the world)

Going on my little walks I remeber seeing many photographers out snapping shots of the birds at their nests.
