Took these yesterday. New bird for me. Don't think I've seen one of these before. The light was very flat as it was a dull gray day......cheers.......Don

Yeah it kinda looks like that low flat light was calling for a higher shutter speed my friend. Pretty bird!

No kidding! These were shot at 1/250 handheld at ISO 400. I ran a NR on them to clean them up a little, hence no exif......D.

Love those pine siskins as they are so approachable. They can get a lot of pretty lemony yellow color under wings and on the breast, too. We see a lot of them in pine forests of NM but only rarely in Houston.
