Trying out my new Sigma 170 500mm.
I am not very impressed with the IQ so far, only time will tell.

The Bluebird shot has good color and detail, Jeff. You may have been at a distance on that one?

Looks like DOF got you on the Mockingbird....I had a shot on a Northern Harrier with similiar results but didn't have time for more settings adjustments.

The Red-tailed Hawk may justbe a combination of distance and angle of sun. I'm not familiar with the specs on the lens but I figure the closer you can get, the better it might perform.

Close should be no problem for you:-)
