Hi Folks, I was in southern Spain recently (still going through my photos). Here are a couple of shots of one shy bird, an Eurasian Hoopoe. I was driving on a dirt and stone track first made by the Phoenicians andimproved by the Romans when I spied this bird in the brush on the right side of the car. I put the passenger window down and took a few pics before it flew off - they are very skitish. I never saw it again that day or since, so I was fortunate to see it at all. Now that one cool looking bird Dan! I had assumed by its beak its a nectar eater but the link you provided shows that it is not. And by the position of its crest it was not really happy you were around LOL.
