Two examples of the biggest bird I have ever seen in person - the Griffon Vulture. We were 4x4 drivingon roads that wind through the rocky crags in the south of Spain - actually looking for Goldenand Imperial Eagles (no luck) - when we spotted this griffon perched high on the tip of a rock spire. As we got out of the vehicle and started aiming our cameras it swooped off the rock and began soaring around us. These two shots are the best of the lot. This bird can be 3 to 3.5 feet long, can weigh between 15 - 22 lbs and has a wingspan of between 6 - 8 feet. I was overwhelmed byits sheer size andgrace as it floated effortlessly away. This was the highlight of my vacation. Cheers, Dan

Dan now that looks like one big dude. You sure did capture some different wildlife from what I see here in the Rocky Mountains on your trip. Thanks for sharing.
