went to the park on Sunday to take advantage of a gorgeous day. one of the cottonwoods the swallows like to perch in had blown down last week, so the birds were perching in unusual spots. one of them picked an old dead snag about 12 feet away from where i was standing, and let me take some photos... 30D with Sigma at 400mm, 1/1000 @ f11...

Good colors and detail, squirl. Looks like you had some bright light. I hope to get a few of those myself before much longer.
