Nice shot.

Your Exif data

Exposure Time = 1/100"
F Number = F5.6
Exposure Program = Shutter priority
ISO Speed Ratings = 800

= camera shake with a 300mm lens

You need more light.

I am not sure what the sync flash is on an Xti but it must be higher than 1/100[suP]th[/suP].
Or perhaps f4 or IS.
