the WA state bird... caught this one sitting in a willow tree, and managed a couple of shots before he flew away. goldfinches tend to stay in the top branches, so getting an "eye-level" shot of one in theopenis difficult. but at least there are more of them this year than last, so i'll keep trying, and maybe i'll get lucky! 30D, Sigma at 400m, 1/800 @ f8...
