Somehow that reminds me of (prodding memory, was it Cartier-Bresson?) of capturing the "decisive moment." You got it!

Thanks for the comments. I shot this in AV, ISO 100, which resulted in a 1/160 speed (no tripod). In hind-sight, I suspect that a higher ISO would have been better. I think that sometimes a little bit of blur due to motion is ok, but when this guy started waving those wings, he was really movin'! This was taken at a small lake in Rochester, Minnesota, where many Canadian geese gather, so I'll have another chance; I'll be here for 6 weeks. Bob
