I don't post much in this forum, but I couldn't resist posting these.
Since I've started (this year) with a dslr I've been trying to get pictures of these jackdaws.

I like'm because they have so much character.

#1# jumping from a neighboring roof (lens tamron 70-300 at 300mm f8 )(January 27)

#2# First one that came close enough in my garden, calling out for it's mate/friends (lens kiron105mm f6.3)(April 14)

#3# hmm looks interesting is that big eye something to play with
(lens vivitar series1 70-210 - 210mm f3.5)(May 6)

#4# aren't they just cute, or ... acting the innocent
(lens vivitar series1 70-210 - 210mm f3.5)(May 6)

Thanks for watching - Ronny

Nice shots. I like the last one. This bird seems similar to a crow and a grackle. Hope to see more of your pics here.

Dan thanks, there not only pretty smart, they are really sociable. They won't fight for food but just wait there turn. It's a funny sight seeing one eating a piece of bread and the rest just waiting there turn. Would even be funnier if they cued up.

Thanks Hung, they're smaller than a crow, and not as agressive.
Didn't know a grackle before I googled it. In the past they've been kept as pets, but now they are protected and are on the comeback.
