i dont know the names of most of the birds i shoot...but this one was the scariest of all...they dont fly seeing u but just run along the ground.

Don't take this to the bank but it looks like some sort of Quail to me. Good capture.

Very nice shot of a male California Quail. Most people thinkthink it aneat bird (it is the state bird of California) - why do you find it scary?

thanks all.

i meant the scariest for the birds part...guess i word it wrongly. It is scared of people by all means....we dont even have to think about scaring them ...they are so scared.

Ah... Well yes, they are skittish. Hunted birds usually are. When a bird stretches itself out like that, craning its neck to see better, it is usually an indication of anxiety. When really frightened,quail fly to cover.

I enjoyed your picture. Keep up the good work.
