Good capture Tom. We had a few stope by here on their way North for a couple of days and they were fun to watch.

is this a sandhill crane? i've never encountered one in the wild before. nice shot tom.

In the last few years they have come back here and there are lots of them flying around making a noise you can hear for miles. They are off the nest now, so both parents are now looking for food together again.
