??? Vultures laying down ???

This was a first for me. I have seen them in a lot of strange positions but never laying down. They had already finished spreading their wings into the sun and I figured they were getting ready to head out for the days hunt but NO they decided to lay down for a bit first. These are 3 different Vultures

Very interesting series, Roger. I certainly haven't seen that behavior from vultures. It may have to do with the availability of trees as perches in our area (dense forests), but vultures are seldom seen near the ground unless they're feasting.

Of course, I had never seen anything from vultures like I saw with the black vultures at the fish hatchery I shared a couple of weeks ago. In fact, I had never seen a black vulture.

Trojansoc thanks for looking and for taking the time to comment. I always enjoy seeing wildlife do something I haven't seen before.
