Mom & Baby Owl

A friend of mine was down at the river fishing and called me and told me he saw a Owl with a mouse or rat going to a big old dead cotton wood tree close the the bridge. Sounded like the owl family from last year was back so I have been checking and sure enough I found Mom in a tree about 10 yards from where their nest is. Made me think YES there is babies and she is taking a break from them. Last year they had 3 babies. I spent quit a while with my binoculars looking but could not find the baby.
Yesterday the baby finally made his appearance. Only one so far.

Here is Mom

I decided to name him FUZZY. You will understand when you see the last photo.

Here is Fuzzy with a close up

Fuzzy up close

In a few days when he gets more brave I hope to catch him in a open area and in the sun.

No surprise that Fuzzy is sharp as a tack. I hope you and he have many more photo sessions.
