We were out Jeeping yesterday at an off road park here in Kansas and was by a huge pile of rocks. This lizard was scurring about and stopped long enough to pose for this photo. Unfortunately, I only had a smaller lens on the camera at the moment...so this is the best I could do. **2nd picture listed below**

Equally good and would have been excellent if the focus had been on the eye. The background is magnificient and the lizard is like on a long march to itsdreamed destination.

It is a Collard Lizard -- assuming it was taken in Kansas, it would be an Eastern Collared Lizard.
