seems to be the day for herons, so i'll toss out one i got this afternoon at the park near my house... note the turtle at the bottom of the frame, looking somewhat nervously over its shoulder (do turtles even have shoulders?) at the heron...

That's a super shot! Detail and lighting are very good.

GBH's will eat turtles, though I suppose they'd go for fish and snakes first.

thanks! GBH's will indeed eat turtles - and anything else they can catch! i've seen them with snakes, rodents, even a small rabbit! no wonder that turtle looks nervous! :lol:
