Maybe the best of the Monarch trial photos - not a part of the lens "camparison series' posted elsewhere, as it doesn't fit the criteria used. Minolta 7D with Minolta 70-210 f4, fill flash. I think I will keep the lens!

I use the 70-210 "beercan" almost exclusively on my Sony A-100.
I tend to like it.
Nice shot with great color and detail. Did you PP or just crop it?

Cropped and reduced, with only quickie minor tweaking of sharpness (after all, it was hand held at 210mm, and taken as a jpeg), brightness and maybe contrast, but not much was required (no Photoshop and no color adjustment). The picture was a clean shot, useable as is, but nearly anything that comes out of a camera can be improved, even if only a little.
