wk7leung, here's a shot of an OLD lion, although still has life in his eyes. He strutted our way just as the sun tipped the horizon, so the lighting was rather good.

A Collared Sunbird, a very tiny fella, just getting his adult plumage, and it was raining that day [VERY unusual for winter], he was enjoying the drops

A Yellowbill Stork fishing - they shade the "fishing area" with their wings, and I like the way the sun caught his face as he peered out from under the wing.

I know seagulls are not the most exciting of birds, however I really like the way this one came out, with the dark background and the lighting in his face.

Thanks for the treat to excellent viewing. SpectacularBIF. The stationary shots of the birds are justaesthetic withlifeflooding from the eyes of the birds being shot. Poor old lion he was in your shot, his glorious days have been gone butstill he isthe king of the forest. All are gorgeous. Congratulations.

Would like to know the gears you used to make all those youposted possible?

Hi wk7leung, thanks for commenting !!! I used a Canon 20D, and a canon 100-400 IS USM lens on all of these, all hand held.

The Old Warrior looks like he has been in his share of scrapes.....and accumulated a lot of miles.

Excellentcolor and detail on thebirds.A beautifuljob on the fishing stork in particular, the color and pose turned out super!
