Marmot - Needs a new tooth brush

Looks to me like he needs a new tooth brush or a different kind of toothpaste.

Here is where I found him sun bathing

A little closer look

After he moved to a higher rock

I think he heard my shutter and decided to go back down in the rocks for safety

One more look to see if it is safe to go back up on the rock

Nice shots Roger. It looks like you were really sneaky to get the different angles. From my experience they aren't easy to get close to.

Must be a lot warmer where you live - Marmots around here seem to have longer fur.

Most of the time the close up is after I managed to get a little closer so the crop is not as much as it would of been from the original.

This is the warmest time of the year for us. The wind was right in my face so every time he looked the other way I could get another step closer.
