inadvertently got a "two-fer" in this series... the marbled godwit in the foreground, and a wimbrel behind.

woah nice worm! that godwit is gonna be eating good. it so interesting how similar these different shorebirds look, but how specialized their individual beaks are for the type of feeding behavior they specialize in. darwinism baby! nice captures.

thanks, guys... Don, i was able to get within about 40-50 feet. any closer and they got skittish, but with the 80-400, that was close enough...
