Put my AF 1.7 TC designed to make MF lenses AF on my FA 80-200 (AF off) and took this shot today of a pair of Sandhill Cranes.

Nice sandhill shots Tom. Its interesting that a TC can turn a manual focus lens into an autofocus one. I'm assuming there are gears? in the TC that move around? The actually lens doesn't rotate right?

The TC has elements in it that move, so the lens has to be set at infinity or close focus first and the TC then does the focusing. It is lightning fast since it doesn't move very far and it works with all lenses that are f/4.5 and faster.

The elements in the lens don't move at all.
