Nice capture. On the last pic I would suggest a larger crop so that there is more room around the heron. It looks too tight to me. Good work nonetheless.

No cropping wasinvolved in the three shots posted. They are direct from the CF card except for the editing to make it permanently vertical when posted up here.

You are right thatthe heron appears to have bursted the frame but I was shooting with the 1000mm mirror reflex and I could not move further back in the place where I shot from.

woooooow! Fantasticbeing in verticalframing as it suits well with the posture of the heron andmaximizes the use of space in theframe. The series of actions was also excellentlycaptured.
