You handled the difficult exposure challenge spot on, VP, whites are great, colors magnificent. Be adventurous, and cropitportrait, clone the back bird out, extend the canvas downwards a bit and fill in a bit below the feet

Jeff, Jake, and Kent. I appreciate the comments guys.

Jake, I reworked it a little based on your suggestions. There wasn't much to see below the feet...I was pretty close to the birds and just could fit them all in.

YEAH that's much better, VP !!! Excellent cloning work - Actually, after I had written that about cloning, I had a relook at the head area and saw it was going to be quite difficult, but you certainly did an excellent job. the portrait crop also removes wasted space on the side and places emphasis on the birds. very Nice !!!

Well, Jake....that's what I thought when I looked at it. I only grumbled to myself a little while cloning out the back bird. :-) Thanks for the suggestions and the kudos.

Dan, thanks a bunch for the favorable comments.

Excellent shot - allowing for the huge difference between the light birds and the moody background. Spot on exposure.
