OK, not the best photos, but the roseate spoonbill is NOT a common find in NJ, the american pelican is uncommon find.. Soo, both of those birds I was just happy to see, never mind get a photo of.

All shots were using an olympus e-500, handheld, various ISO/shutter speeds using a sigma 50-500mm lens..

cattle egret -- Trying out for the Sopranos??

black crowned night heron - figures I wake him up and after he moves about, the sun goes behind some clouds and when the sun returns, you guessed it the bird was gone.. Such is nature photography..

american white pelican

?? turtle (anyone w/ an ID?)

Any comments or questions??

i like the 4th shot with the black crowned night heron the best. good shooting. looking forward to seeing more of your work here.
