Wow! That was a fast response. Just got home from work (where I sent the first message from).

I'm amazed that 1/500 froze the wings. I'll have to give that a try.

I just got my K10D last week, so I'm growing on the learning curve (my first DSLR). I've had Pentax film gear for over 20 years and was thrilled when they came out with the K10D. Now I can use all my lenses on a superb camera!

I'm new to this - can you give me a little more info regarding what you mean by the exif and Opanda's iexif?

I'm impressed that you got this clarity on jpg's. I haven't tried processing RAW images yet, just the 10MP jpgs.

Thanks again for the fast response and any info you can offer me. Glad to be on this forum......

Opanda - iExif Viewer

It's a neat little program you can use on the pictures on your harddrives as well as the internet to pull "exif" from the pictures. Exif tells you what camera and settings the pictures were taken with. Very cool, highly recommended.
